Lead group-wide health and safety across a UK manufacturing business, driving culture, compliance and continuous improvement.
This is a key role responsible for driving HSE compliance, improving safety performance and promoting a positive safety culture across Polyframe Products Ltd and Stevenswood Trade Counters Ltd.
As Group Health and Safety Manager, you will:
- Lead Health, Safety and Environmental activity across the Group
- Advise senior management on HSE legislation, compliance and best practice
- Develop, maintain and improve HSE systems, policies and procedures
- Carry out HSE audits across the Lenwade manufacturing site and planned Stevenswood branch visits
- Manage risk assessments, safe systems of work and compliance processes
- Lead accident investigations, corrective actions and root cause analysis
- Monitor HSE performance, KPIs, incidents and improvement plans
- Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and new starter inductions
- Support continuous improvement projects alongside Operations
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the business
- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, customers and suppliers where required
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Certification
- Significant HSE management experience within manufacturing
- Strong auditing, reporting, risk assessment and incident investigation skills
- Experience developing and improving HSE systems, policies and procedures
- Full UK driving licence due to occasional branch travel
