We are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is an exciting role in the business and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn and achieve personal growth within a fast paced business.
What’s the opportunity?
The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for working within the Management Accounts team to produce timely, accurate monthly management accounts and departmental reports to strict deadlines; cash reporting and assist in preparing company budgets.
What does the role involve?
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations in line with month end close
- Analysis and review of detailed P&L accounts with narrative against budget and prior year with explanations of variances
- P&L reviews for actuals and budget, attend and take lead in quarterly reviews with responsible head office budget holders
- Production of weekly management reports (for example bookings and deliveries) for issue to senior managers and Directors
- Accurately and reliably produce key information and financials
- Develop a strong working relationship within the finance team to jointly achieve key goals
- Assist with Finance admin tasks, such as payment loading and credit card portal management
- First cover when required for Finance Administration function including annual leave
Who are we looking for?
- AAT or ACCA Qualification or equivalent (or willing to work towards an Accounts qualification)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Proactive with strong organisational skills
- Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels
- Ability to prioritise workload to achieve tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
