The London Store Manager is responsible for the commercial performance, brand representation, and operational leadership of Cassina Brompton Road store. This role has full accountability for the retail, sales channels, supporting end-clients, A&D and Wholesale clients. Leading a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while driving sustainable revenue growth across private clients, design professionals, and business partners. It is important to note this is a hands-on sales management role. Reporting to the Cassina London Sales Director, the role combines hands-on client engagement, strategic sales leadership, and brand guardianship within the UK’s most influential luxury design market.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Commercial Performance: Own and deliver sales targets and KPIs. Develop integrated sales strategies across retail, A&D, and wholesale channels. Monitor revenue by channel, conversion rates, AOV, and pipeline health. Produce regular sales forecasts and performance reports.
- Retail & End-Customer Experience: Ensure world-class, design-led customer experience. Personally manage VIP and high-value private clients. Embed consultative, lifestyle-led selling across the team. Resolve escalated customer issues with discretion and professionalism.
- A&D (Architects & Designers) Business Development: Support the development of Cassina’s A&D network across London and the UK. Build and manage relationships with architects, interior designers, and developers. Support specifications, tenders, quotes, and project delivery timelines. Represent the brand at design events and industry networking opportunities.
- Wholesale & B2B Channel Management: Develop and manage relationships with wholesale and contract partners. Oversee pricing, commercial terms, and margin integrity. Support partners with training and product knowledge. Ensure consistent brand representation in third-party environments.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop the sales teams. Drive clear individual and team objectives. Foster a high-performance, service-led culture. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning. Manage rotas and staffing coverage.
- Brand Stewardship & Store Excellence: Act as guardian of Cassina’s brand DNA. Maintain exceptional visual merchandising and presentation standards. Collaborate with Corporate Retail Marketing on launches, events, and activations. Ensure consistency of tone, behaviour, and brand representation.
- Operations, Governance & Reporting: Oversee order processing, CRM accuracy, and after-sales coordination. Ensure compliance with Cassina operational standards. Act as senior escalation point for operational and customer-service issues.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Business, or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in luxury furniture or high-end design retail.
- Proven experience across retail, A&D, and complex sales environments.
- Experience managing wholesale or contract business highly advantageous.
