Join Our Team as an Estimator! Are you thorough with exceptional attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality proposals to support sales growth? We are seeking a highly motivated Estimator to join our team based in Guildford. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for producing costed sales proposals, and enjoy delivering excellent customer service and presentation, this is the perfect role for you! Key Responsibilities: Working with Sales: Taking a brief from the BDM and/or MD on what is required following their client visit or survey, followed by conducting a professional handover of the final costed proposal in preparation for it to be given to the client. Costing: Produce fully costed proposals and tenders with the correct information, visual designs, and pricing matrix. Design: Ability to read and understand technical drawings, with the ability to design and amend using AUTOCAD. Troubleshooting: Ability to identify potential issues with proposed designs or measurements and make corrective suggestions and sense check, and challenge the accuracy of information provided by all parties involved. Pricing: Obtain and manage price lists from suppliers and challenge where necessary, for example, against known volume discounts What We’re Looking For: Experience: Previous experience in an estimating role is essential, ideally at least 5 years relevant experience in producing detailed proposals/tenders with costings. Skills: Commercial awareness, exceptionally well organised, ability to work efficiently and at pace, confident and assertive, great attention to detail, with the ability to work independently. Tech-Savvy: IT literate, particularly using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office packages such as Excel and PowerPoint.
