Description
We are seeking a skilled HR & Payroll Administrator to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality HR services across the organisation. This position encompasses responsibility for core administrative functions, accurate payroll processing and verification, comprehensive benefits administration via Zest, and support for multiple group entities. The successful candidate will also actively contribute to key strategic projects such as TUPE transfers and enhancements to systems or processes, all while maintaining an accurate, compliant, and people-centric service.
Key Responsibilities
HR & Payroll Administration
Maintain and update employee data within the HRIS and related systems.
Accurately prepare and input monthly payroll information (including new starters, leavers, variable pay, benefits, and absences) and liaise directly with the payroll provider.
Review and verify payroll outputs, escalating discrepancies as appropriate.
Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries from employees.
Support HR administrative tasks throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual amendments, and offboarding.
Deliver HR and payroll administration services for group companies, ensuring consistency and compliance.
Benefits Administration
Serve as the primary administrator for Zest, ensuring integrity and efficiency in the management of employee benefits.
Oversee enrolments, changes, and queries relating to benefit schemes with accuracy and responsiveness.
Coordinate annual benefits renewal cycles, manage benefit window adjustments, and support related communications.
Liaise with benefit providers to address queries and uphold accurate payroll deductions.
TUPE and HR Projects
Assist the HR team with administrative aspects of TUPE transfers, including the management of employee data, correspondence, and onboarding/offboarding activities.
Facilitate collection and handling of data for due diligence purposes and employee consultations.
Contribute to wider HR initiatives, such as policy implementation, audits, and compliance improvements.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
Proven experience in HR and payroll administration positions.
Competence in supporting or coordinating payroll processes, including thorough data entry and output validation.
Knowledge of UK employment legislation; familiarity with TUPE regulations is advantageous.
Proficiency with benefits platforms such as Zest (or equivalent) is essential.
Advanced Excel and HRIS abilities, demonstrating strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Capacity to manage confidential information discreetly and professionally.
Highly organised, proactive, and skilled in collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Experience providing HR and payroll support across multiple legal entities or corporate structures.
Involvement in TUPE or organisational change projects.
Familiarity with ADP and Zest platforms.
CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent (or actively working towards attainment).
