Are you ready to take your insurance career to the next level? PoloWorks is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Insurance Specialist to join our Underwriting Services (UWS) team. Key Responsibilities
- Process London Market Insurance underwriting data following established procedural guides.
- Analyse technical data and calculate transactions, including limits, premiums, and deductions.
- Manage internal and external queries to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data processing.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to team members.
- Organise documentation to facilitate smooth data processing.
- Contribute to internal and external (client) reporting.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Relevant experience within the insurance sector.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on service quality and client satisfaction.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team.
- Capability to provide training, support, and guidance to colleagues.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of the insurance market, structure, practices, and regulations.
- Familiarity with services provided by PCIS and specifically UWIS.
- Experience with direct and reinsurance placements.
- Ability to interpret insurance documentation and data accurately.
- Knowledge of relevant classes of business and the ability to engage in meaningful discussions with client operations and underwriting teams.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English.
- Willingness to pursue relevant CII qualifications.
