Teams typically spend around 60% of their time in the office, although this may vary depending on project and business needs. At times you may need to attend the office up to 5 days per week. Main purpose of the Role:
The Engineering Manager will lead and develop high-performing software engineering teams, ensuring the successful delivery of customer programmes while driving continuous improvement across the engineering function. The role combines people leadership, technical understanding, project delivery, and stakeholder management to support SeeByte's growth and the development of world-leading autonomous maritime technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer-facing programmes, reporting progress and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and develop engineering teams through effective line management, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
- Play a key role in SeeByte's Engineering Management Team, contributing to resource planning, capability development, and recruitment.
- Drive the evolution of SeeByte's engineering function through continuous improvement of processes, tools, and ways of working, ensuring the organisation remains efficient, scalable, and innovative.
- Support Sales and Business Development activities by providing technical expertise to scope, shape, and cost new opportunities.
