Why This Role Matters As a Driver Training Officer, you will develop driver capability, compliance, and safety across the business by delivering effective training programmes, supporting operational teams, and driving continuous improvement in driver performance and standards.
Key
Responsibilities: Plan and deliver proactive driver training interventions in accordance with Group Policies and Processes.
Deliver local driver inductions, driver development programmes, skills training, Potential New Driver (PND) assessments, Long Semi-Trailer (LST) training, manual handling training, and vehicle familiarisation sessions.
Delegate appropriate training activities to depot-based Driver Development Coaches (DDCs).
Support the business in maintaining sufficient Driver Development Coach coverage across all depots and provide training delivery where Driver Development Coach resource is unavailable.
Build strong working relationships with operational management teams and collaborate closely with the central Learning
