CANDIDATES MUST BE AWARE THIS IS NOT JUST A DRIVING JOB AND IS A HANDS ON EVENT SUPPORT ROLE. We are seeking reliable and professional Event Support Drivers to assist with transportation and logistical support for various events including set up and de-rig of events. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering equipment, supplies, and materials to event locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics to contribute to successful event execution while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service to support our clients in various locations in London and surrounding areas. Some jobs involve working further afield and sometimes require overnight stays. Events vary in size and venue and as a 24-hour business we are looking for people that want flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport equipment and supplies to designated event sites.
  • Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring secure placement for transit.
  • Assist with setting up and dismantling event equipment as needed including floral equipment such as glassware, so care is needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, freelance florists, event coordinators, venue staff, and team members.
  • Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols during all driving activities.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure roadworthiness.

Skills:

  • Punctuality is key to this role as we work to fixed deadlines.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role ideally within the floral industry but not essential.
  • Valid UK driver's licence.
  • Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as 3.5t vans.
  • Strong driving skills, with the ability to navigate urban and rural routes efficiently.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own.
  • Must be proactive and able to work under pressure and stay calm and focused.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
  • Organised approach to work with attention to detail in managing schedules and documentation.

This role is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy driving, working in dynamic environments, and supporting the smooth operation of events through dependable transportation services.
