An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced QC Technician to join a busy and fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a key role focused on ensuring product quality through analytical testing of raw materials and finished goods, with a strong emphasis on microbiology.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out analytical testing in line with agreed work plans and schedules
- Producing accurate, valid results and reporting them in a timely manner
- Flagging any out-of-spec results or non-conformance immediately
- Maintaining competency across all defined lab operations
- Following SOPs and world-class operational practices
- Acting as signatory for your own results and preparations
- Supporting documentation and certificate release processes when required
- Providing weekend cover on a rota basis
What we're looking for:
- Background in microbiology is essential
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification
- Trained on BRC standards
- Minimum 2 years experience in food manufacturing or food services
- Strong problem-solving skills and microbiological expertise
- Confident using Microsoft Office and general computer systems
