As the Purchasing Manager you’ll be working within a fast-paced Sales & Purchasing department, where you will be responsible for leading the purchasing function, developing a high-performing team, managing stock and supplier relationships, and ensuring purchasing strategies support wider business objectives. We're looking for a confident and approachable Purchasing Manager who enjoys developing people, building strong supplier partnerships and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities as the Purchasing Manager: * Lead, motivate and develop the Purchasing team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement. * Take full accountability for the purchasing function, stock control and team output. * Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives. * Manage supplier relationships, negotiate favourable terms and review supplier performance. * Oversee stock purchasing from both parent company and third-party suppliers. * Manage import procedures and ensure efficient stock availability. * Work closely with the Logistics team to coordinate transport, warehouse capacity and incoming stock. The successful Purchasing Manager will have: * Previous experience in a Purchasing Manager or similar leadership role. * Proven experience managing and developing teams within a purchasing or supply chain environment. * Knowledge of purchasing, stock management, logistics and transport coordination. * Experience of import procedures and supplier management. * A successful track record of negotiating with suppliers. * Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across all areas of the business.
