£35,000 - £38,500 + overtime one Saturday morning in every 3 weeks. Polkadotfrog is working with a lovely business in Felixstowe who are looking for a new Operations Planner to add to their existing team due to business growth. The firm has engineers out on site throughout the UK and we need a strong planner with a good technical background to ensure their clients are looked after and that engineers’ days are planned well to ensure efficient use of time and resources.

You will join two other very experienced and knowledgeable members of the operations team, so they will be there to make sure you are fully trained and to be ongoing points of knowledge.

  • Planning maintenance of customers’ equipment
  • Allocating work to supervisors and technicians across the country
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Processing administration work
  • Helping to ensure maintenance of company vehicles is booked on time
  • Handle any queries via telephone and email
  • Liaising with engineers for any missing information

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and happy company, it’s a 7-5 or 8-6 day Monday to Friday which is taken in turns in the team and some Saturday mornings (overtime paid). This is a nice place to be, with a lovely atmosphere and friendly team. There will be full training in this role and you will have involvement with everyone in the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trailer or commercial vehicle repairs and have a very customer-focused mindset, have the ability to make decisions and work autonomously whilst being enthusiastic and a good communicator. You will need solid basic IT skills and some administrative experience.
