polkadotfrog is working with a well-established engineering company who are looking for a reliable, hands-on Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team. If you enjoy practical work, variety in your day, and being part of a friendly, supportive workshop, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing:
- Fitting and assembly of parts, sub-assemblies and full machines
- Welding and fabrication (MIG and manual-arc)
- Machining (milling and turning) across a range of materials
- Some on-site work such as installations, commissioning and machine checks
- Inspecting bearings, parts, and supporting machinery testing
- Keeping the workshop tidy and working safely at all times
You don't need to be an expert in everything, but you should be confident in at least two of these areas and happy to get stuck in where needed.
About you:
- Has an engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualifications
- Has experience in a similar role (5+ years if qualified, 10+ years if not)
- Can read and understand technical drawings
- Has experience using hand tools
- Ideally has forklift/overhead crane certification (or willing to train)
- Takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and stays calm under pressure
- Is friendly, flexible, and happy working as part of a team
