Are you an organised and proactive Secretary with strong administrative and client service skills? We’re looking for a Private Client Secretary to join a friendly and supportive legal team, providing high‑quality secretarial and administrative support to lawyers within the Private Client department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional environment, delivering excellent client service, and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of legal processes.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Preparing legal documents including letters, forms, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and invoices, including audio transcription where required.
- Maintaining accurate records and databases, including submissions to relevant online services and authorities.
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, executors, the Probate Registry and other third parties in a professional and supportive manner.
- Handling enquiries by phone and in person, arranging consultations, appointments, and call‑backs where appropriate.
- Managing key dates within the firm’s central diary and monitoring deadlines to ensure important matters are not missed.
- File management including opening new files, conducting conflict checks, maintaining organised records, and closing files when matters conclude.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with firm policies, procedures, and professional standards.
