POLITICO is seeking a skilled Senior Producer, Audio/Video to lead the relaunch and growth of a news show. In this role, you’ll oversee recording sessions, make creative decisions to shape each episode, ensure high quality and accuracy, and edit the final audio and video products to completion. Our shows are multiplatform products, with audio (podcast), video, and social media elements. You’ll be a key player in making sure we deliver a timely and compelling product. Given the nature of news shows, this role may require work outside of normal business hours to accommodate our production schedule. The position is a full-time role based in London.

Who You Are:

  • An experienced producer with a track record of working on video and audio shows.
  • A skilled editor of audio and video — able to produce tight and polished edits on a deadline.
  • A keen reader of news and politics with a deep interest in the UK and Europe.
  • Experienced in multiplatform distribution, finding production efficiencies between video and audio, and producing for different channels and audiences.
  • A team player, great at giving and taking notes and working across different teams of people.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the creation of an audio/video show — including technical aspects and helping coach talent and guide editorial direction.
  • Collaborate with host and editorial colleagues to identify high-impact guests, topics, and relevant conversation themes.
  • Edit an audio and video product — producing clean, final cuts of an audio show (podcast) and video, ready for publication.
  • Partner with audience, editorial, social media teams on distribution and publishing.
  • Monitor episode performance metrics and utilize data to optimize future episodes.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in podcast and video production, with significant experience in news, politics, or policy.
  • Sharp editorial judgement and storytelling instincts grounded in journalistic standards.
  • Strong audio and video editing skills, including strong familiarity with Premiere and Audition (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Familiarity with audience analytics and platform metrics to guide future content.

We value our people. Our benefits package is built for you, and includes competitive compensation and benefits packages—including pension, healthcare, training opportunities and more. With a multinational team, strong ties to EU institutions, and flexible work options including working from abroad, we offer our employees an environment that supports both professional and personal development.
