This role will suit someone with strong General Insurance experience who wants to make an impact at the highest levels of Aviva's business and enjoys working at a fast pace. Self-starters who enjoy solving challenging business problems, building trust-based relationships, and helping organisations get aligned around a common direction will excel at this role.

The Aviva Strategy team supports the Group CEO and Group ExCo in developing and refining Aviva's Strategy. The team is made up of experienced strategy professionals drawn from top consulting firms, corporate strategy functions at other blue-chip firms, and within Aviva. The Strategy Senior Manager is a key role in the team, responsible for running strategy projects end-to-end, driving the team's strategic insights and recommendations, and building/maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders in the business. The role delivers value to Aviva by enabling quality management decision-making on some of the most important questions facing our business. This specific role is being recruited to provide additional dedicated support to UK&I GI, reflecting the increased size and demand from the business following the acquisition of Direct Line. The fast-paced nature of our team's work benefits from in-person collaboration and being close to our stakeholders, with a typical working pattern of up to four days per week in the London office.

Skills And Experience

  • Good knowledge & experience of the General Insurance (P&C) market
  • Proven problem-solving skills and good ability to structure & frame solutions
  • Excellent Written and Verbal communication, and strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management
  • Good understanding of business strategy concepts and ability to translate this to commercial implications
