A Bit About The Job

Our new colleague will be responsible for leading a Major Loss Field Team handling claims ranging from £50k to £250k. This includes managing all operational and technical aspects related to individuals, the team, and region. You will need to take ownership and accountability for the team's performance, ensuring excellent customer service, cost and indemnity control, accurate estimating, and effective management of personnel, resources, and development.

Skills And Experience We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a managerial role leading a team within the specialist claims area.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Ideally, you have experience handling complex property claims, including exposure to losses exceeding £100,000.
  • Strategic and operational thinking to build a sustainable claims function.
  • A solid understanding of building practices and regulations related to property reinstatements and tendering processes.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively planning, multi-tasking, prioritising responsibilities, and delivering within agreed time limits.
  • Excellent communication skills to serve as a credible representative for home claims and the broader Aviva claims system.

What You’ll Get For This Role

Starting salary circa £55,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications). Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
