Key Responsibilities:
As a Portfolio Analyst at Policy Expert, you will play a critical role in analysing and optimising the performance of insurance portfolios. You will work closely with underwriting, pricing, claims, and finance teams to provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making and improve underwriting profitability.
- Analyse portfolio performance across all insurance products (Home, Motor & Pet).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Looker, Excel, and SQL.
- Support pricing, underwriting, claims and finance teams with data insights to refine pricing and risk selection strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Prepare regular MI (Management Information) reports for senior stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across internal systems and external reporting.
Who are you:
- Bachelor\’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- 3+ years in general insurance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data clearly.
- Knowledge of underwriting, claims, and policy administration systems is a plus.
Desirable Attributes:
- Curious and detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
