Your Responsibilities
As our Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll-related projects, ensuring that strategic payroll initiatives are successfully executed across the organisation. You will be working on projects such as Pensions, PSA, Gender Pay Gap, and more. This is a highly collaborative role, where you will be maintaining compliance and streamlining payroll procedures for efficiency.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage group-wide payroll projects
- Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment and compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and industry standards
- Oversee the execution of payroll strategies for the organisation, ensuring payroll consistency, accuracy, and timelines across all three offices
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll-related processes, policies, and systems
- Monitor changes to payroll regulations and legislation to ensure the organisation stays compliant in all regions
- Provide strategic insight and guidance on payroll-related matters to the Chief People Officer and other senior leadership
- Lead efforts in the preparation and submission of annual gender pay gap reports and other required government filings
- Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers and other external stakeholders as required
- Analyse payroll data to identify opportunities for optimisation and cost-efficiency, providing solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals
- Auditing the payroll to make sure it satisfies all government regulations
- Developing and leading the refining of payroll procedures
- Responsible for filing P45s, P60s, P11Ds
- Contractor timesheets and filing
Who are you:
- Proven experience in managing payroll projects, ideally in a group-wide or multinational setting
- Strong knowledge of UK and international payroll regulations, pensions, PSA’s, and gender pay gap reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to analyse complex payroll data
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and senior leadership
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with a track record of driving change and improvements
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with payroll systems and the integration of payroll technologies is an advantage
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional certification in payroll or related fields is desirable
