• About the IT team:
The IT Team are the backbone of our technology environment, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining all foundational technology systems that support business operations. This includes managing networks, servers, data centres, cloud platforms, storage solutions, and security frameworks to ensure that systems are reliable, scalable, and secure
Your day to day:
As our IT Network Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and resilience of our IT network and the wider business. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will design, implement, and manage the network systems across our cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring that our systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize the company\’s network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Firewalls & Security Devices: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewall technologies and other security devices to safeguard the network from potential threats.
- Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Respond to network and security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure rapid resolution to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with our IT and software engineering teams to integrate security into system development and provide security guidance where needed.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of security incidents, network configurations, CVE remediation efforts, and security policies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, allowing them to think critically and anticipate challenges in rapidly changing environments. Detail-oriented and methodical, you will leave no stone unturned when securing systems, ensuring that even the smallest risks are addressed
The core attributes we would value in this role:
- Hands-on, proven experience in network security, with a focus on enterprise-level environments.
- Solid understanding of Cyber Security Best Practices, risk management, and network hardening techniques.
- Hands-on experience in CVE detection and remediation (including vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus, Qualys, etc.).
- Cisco Certifications (CCIE, CCNA, etc.) with recent experience working on Cisco switches, routers, and other networking devices.
- Preferred: Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Azure Active Directory (Entra) environments and related cloud-based security tools.
- Familiarity with security monitoring tools (SIEMs, IDS/IPS, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex security issues into business-friendly language.
