What you’ll be doing

  • Aid the Record to Report (R2R) Finance Manager in the delivery of month-end, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly group consolidations, including balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ONS returns.
  • Provide hands‑on support to the operational finance team to solve queries.
  • Support payments and cash management processes.
  • Provide input into the delivery of annual report and accounts for all Group companies, including the Group’s FCA‑regulated insurance intermediary subsidiary.
  • Work closely with the external auditors, providing data, information, and explanations to them as required.
  • Continually review and improve the control and process environment.
  • Prepare and maintain process documents covering all work undertaken.

Who are you

  • Likely to be at least 3 years post‑qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, exceptional candidates with less PQ experience would also be considered.
  • Knowledge and experience of corporation tax are desirable.
  • A curious and quick learner. Proactive with a positive mindset.
  • Self‑motivated and outgoing.
  • Able to articulate complex accounting theory into practical ‘down‑to‑earth’ terms when working with stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Sage Intacct and SAP Concur are advantageous.
