Your day to day:

  • You will be working within the Finance Team of an exciting and high‑growth business that is looking to build out its FP&A function to support the next phase of growth.
  • In this role you will take responsibility for forecasting for the business, engaging with senior stakeholders to develop financial forecasts.
  • You will also be responsible for Financial MI – maintaining and analysing our monthly results to enable leaders across the business to easily understand our financial performance.
  • You will support decision‑support activities, helping business leaders understand the financial implications of strategies and decisions.
  • You will inform and challenge business leaders on their performance against budget and support them to hit their targets.
  • Ownership of the expenses forecasting for the business including supporting the implementation of a new forecasting tool.
  • Partnership with teams and leaders across the business to create and build expense forecasts.
  • Ownership of finance MI including redesigning existing MI, automating processes and driving efficiencies.
  • Provide ad‑hoc analysis for the senior leaders, Board and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting business departments to create business cases for new initiatives and strategies.
  • Work closely with various business units to help them understand their performance.
  • Development and improvement of analytics and processes: automating processes and controls.

Who are you:

  • Very strong financial analysis and accounting skills.
  • Extensive modelling experience either within an FP&A or advisory role.
  • Knowledge or experience of insurance.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • A desire to innovate and introduce innovative ideas that will benefit the business.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with large data sets.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Expert influencer with experience at communicating findings.
  • Strong business partnering skills. Promote collaboration with business functions.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 1-2 years post‑qualification experience.

Nice to have:

  • Experience of reinsurance contracts.
  • Experience with EPM systems.
  • Familiarity with transforming and manipulating large data sets.
