To be responsible for the implementation and support of communications infrastructure. To ensure communications infrastructure supports the needs of Police Scotland and external partners. Provide a comprehensive communication system support service on a 24/7 continual basis.
The jobholder must be prepared to travel to various locations all over Scotland to carry out their duties. Normally this will require the jobholder to travel to an alternative location during a working day, however certain duties may require the jobholder to stay away from home overnight. Given the unpredictable nature of the business area the jobholder may have an opportunity to work additional hours, often at short notice, although welfare and necessity will always be primary considerations.
