This is a Fixed Term (9 months) part-time role, working 22.5 hours over 3 days per week. The role involves the day-to-day administration of the Branch core business, Group Insurance Scheme, and the Essex Police Train Travel Concession scheme, as well as providing a comprehensive service to the members of Essex Police Federation at Branch level.

Key Responsibilities:
- Dealing with the day-to-day administration of Branch business and GIS funds.
- Liaising with Solicitors.
- Chasing for progress reports from Leatherhead HQ.
- Administering the Train Travel Concession Scheme.
- Dealing with all enquiries relating to the scheme.
- Compiling monthly Payroll instructions.
- Arranging with Photographic Department for the production of travel ID cards.
- Checking membership details against the monthly Payroll printouts.
- Chasing for the return of travel ID cards when necessary.
- Purchase and sale of Essex Police Memorabilia as necessary.
- Purchase of new stock and updating stock records.
- Handling monies received and providing the General Secretary with full details for preparation of accounts at the end of the year.
- Keeping records of any gifts and presentations made.
- Arranging for engraving if required.
- Advising on Member Services, including holiday/hotel discounts, insurance, car purchase etc.
- Having a working knowledge of the Group Insurance Scheme and assisting with enquiries and administration work in the Office Manager’s absence.
- Deputising for the Office Manager when required.
- Maintenance/monitoring of social media accounts as and when required.
- Hospitality and reception duties as and when required.
- General office housekeeping under direction of the Office Manager.
- Occasional participation in external events and hospitality which may require overnight stays and working additional hours.
- Administration of matters relating to Essex Federation Holiday Home, including monitoring requests for booking, sending confirmation, monitoring payments, ensuring cleaner is booked as directed by the Office Manager.
- Upkeep of existing website to include all members offers, news, insurance details etc.
- Preparing information packs for new recruits and transferees.
- Administration of the office Lottery.

The post holder will deal with matters of a delicate and confidential nature. Therefore, discretion, tact and diplomacy are essential. The post holder will be required to work with minimal supervision. A policing background would be advantageous.
