Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and collaborate with the data communities across local Police Forces in England and Wales, Police Scotland, Police Services Northern Ireland and other UK Policing bodies and Law Enforcement agencies.
- Work closely with and provide support to the Data and Analytics Management Team.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders to articulate the importance of data, gain ownership and demonstrate the benefits of a data-driven culture.
- Work with and support PDS's DPO, local force DPOs as well as DPOs in NPCC to drive better alignment and standardisation of Data & Analytics approaches.
- Work with PDS's Business Engagement and Communications teams to enable adoption of data approaches by Police Forces and NPCC portfolios.
- Define new relationships and responsibilities for data to drive a high-performing data culture, in each of the projects, developing and supporting appropriate Data Governance structures.
- Develop and deploy appropriate frameworks for data management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Undertake data assurance practice, aligned to frameworks which are evidenced and documented.
- Define, develop and assure appropriate data quality rules, data transformation, validation rules, risk and issue management, documentation and reporting in collaboration with partners and stakeholders aligned to the established Data Governance structure.
- Collaborate, communicate with business and stakeholders to define migration scope, timelines, and requirements.
- Coordinate with business users for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign-off.
What you need to succeed in the role:
- Experience in data roles, preferably in Data Migration delivery, with proven strong knowledge, understanding and experience in Data Quality, Data Profiling, Data Risk and Control, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Sharing, Data Acquisition and Data Standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience in understanding and implementing data frameworks & processes.
- Understanding of the technology industry offering in the data space.
- Knowledge of data performance, risk and issue reporting and escalation; experience in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and their purpose in a data context.
- Understanding of the requirements to support the "offensive" aspects of data e.g., Data Quality, Data Catalogues, Business Ownership of Data, Data Standards and Taxonomies, Reference Data & Master Data Management, Data Lineage.
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management, problem solving and building trust are all essential requirements for this role.

This is a remote role. All applicants must be eligible to undergo NPPV3 (Non Police Personnel Vetting Level 3) and SC vetting clearances.
