Our team provides technical advice and delivers services to help policing and law enforcement organisations across the UK prioritise and focus on technology efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the ISM Cyber Delivery Manager, providing specialist advice, reporting and assurance to principal stakeholdersSupport implementation of the PDS Cyber Services (CS) strategy, roadmaps and business plans, bids and business casesMonitor security, technological, social and scientific trends that could influence the National Policing policyEnsure that outcomes and benefits are maximised from all people, process and technology investments as part of the PDS role in leading delivery for the National Digital Policing Strategy 2020-30Advise on necessary technical and procedural governance, control systems, standards and proceduresForge strong relationships with National Policing Programme personnel and key stakeholders across PolicingWork closely with the DDAT and Technical Operations team to manage security decisionsProvide technical and security architectural input and recommendations to the Project and wider CS servicesConsult on and develop information security and risk policies, standards and guidelines for National PolicingApply and implement Secure by DesignProvide security advice, secure solutions and risk identification and quantification for National Policing projects and programmesInput into the overall National Policing Target Architecture providing specific information security considerations into designsProactively provide specialist security advice to representatives of PDS and National policing in line with the demands of the Strategic PortfolioA minimum of 3 years of proven IT/Information security and risk consulting experience in large organisations with complex security and compliance requirements.Proven experience of delivering security in one or more of the following cloud service provider environments: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience in defining and/or implementing security controls across multiple layers of the IT architecture stack.Experience in the production of or input to design documentation (HLDs, LLDs, blueprints etc.), supporting cloud architecture design, implementation, operations, and automation in Azure AWS and GCP.Strong knowledge and ability to demonstrate the use of the NIST Cyber Security Framework, mapping and translating NIST Cyber Security Controls to other frameworks such as ISO27001 and CIS Top 20 controls, including understanding of the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework.Experience in defining, designing and/or implementing security controls across multiple layers of the IT architecture stack.Demonstrate a track record of developing strong working relationships with a wide number of stakeholders, particularly in managing expectations across a large number of disparate customer, supplier and stakeholder groups.For a full list of responsibilities and criteria, please refer to the Candidate Pack.All applicants must be eligible for NPPV3 and SC clearances.
