We seek someone with a passion for electric mobility, an interest in technology, and a desire to create the change we know is needed.

The PR and Communications team works across external and internal communications on both a B2B and B2C basis, collaborating with other departments to achieve success. This is an exciting role where you will gain a breadth of experience and knowledge, reporting directly to the Polestar UK PR Manager. The position is located at Polestar UK Headquarters in Bicester, Oxfordshire, three days a week, with home working twice a week. Some UK-based travel for PR event work will be required. We believe in a hybrid model for remote and onsite work, knowing that both in-person collaboration and individual focus time are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Coverage collation: collate all Polestar-related coverage in the UK daily, reporting back to the PR team and creating reports for the wider business.
  • Press fleet management: manage our fleet of Polestars for media use, liaising with journalists daily, increasing utilisation of our cars and aiding brand awareness.
  • Supporting internal communications: work with the PR Manager on ways to maintain internal morale, weekly communications with the whole UK organisation, managing internal events.
  • Supporting event management: collaborate with the PR team and external events agency to ideate, create, and manage PR events such as first drives, range days, and Polestar Space openings.
  • Supporting editorial ideas and campaigns: work with the PR team and external PR agency to create editorial ideas for UK-based media to drive brand awareness of Polestar.

The ideal candidate:

To succeed in this role, you will need tenacity, flexibility, and curiosity. You should be a true team player with the ability to take initiative and meet deadlines efficiently.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Sound knowledge of the media landscape.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • A desire to test new ideas and approaches.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ideally, a valid UK driver’s licence.

While competence and experience are important, personality and passion are key!

In addition, you will need the following qualifications:

  • In the process of gaining, or just graduated from, a degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or similar.
  • At least three A levels graded C or above.

Polestar is an international company with various backgrounds represented. English is the language of written and spoken communication.
