Bower Learning Partnership is a Federation of 2 special schools; Polden Bower School in Bridgwater, Avalon School in Street. The partnership works closely with the Pupil Referral Units in Somerset as part of its leadership work. We are looking for talented senior teaching assistants to join our growing team of staff. 32.5 Hours per week 39 weeks per year( Term time plus INSET days). Term time hours of work: Monday 08.45am- 4.45pm, Tuesday-Friday 08.45am-3.30pm. Grade 13 actual gross salary £20,193- £21,866 dependent on experience.

We are looking for someone who can:
- Provide mentoring for new support staff
- Provide a professional role model for other staff
- To support the admin roles of the class teacher in terms of
- o Keeping pupil files up to date
- o Ensuring that resources are prepared and ready for learning
- o To be the first point of call in their absence
- To teach groups under the direction of the class teacher
- To teach the whole class, short term in the absence of the class teacher
- To plan and prepare lessons for groups you are teaching
- To deliver training to other staff within the federation
