Part Time School Cleaner

Contract: Part Time, Term Time Only

Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Salary: £21,257.48 FTE (£9,920.16 actual)

About the School:

Located in Tamworth, our new school, which can accommodate up to 78 pupils, offers a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. We are part of the Polaris Community and have been passionately improving the lives of young people for over 30 years. Within the Polaris Community, we have over fifteen SEN schools across the UK that work together to provide each pupil with a tailored, diverse and appropriate education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes engagement, inspires learning and encourages achievement. Role Responsibilities:

  • Vacuum cleaning and mopping floors
  • Emptying and cleaning bins
  • Cleaning toilets and bathroom spaces
  • Replenishing bathroom supplies
  • Dusting, polishing and straightening furniture and cupboard tops
  • Tidying communal areas, ensuring hazards are removed
  • Wiping down paintwork, including skirting boards and window ledges

About You:

  • Previous professional experience of cleaning a large commercial building, preferably a school, college or university
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
  • A flexible approach to work and preparedness to carry out all reasonable cleaning tasks
  • Ability to use a wide range of cleaning equipment and products appropriately
  • A confident, clear communicator

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Polaris.
