Polaris Education is seeking a SEN Class Teacher for our new school located in Scunthorpe, which has the capacity for up to 42 pupils aged 5 to 18 with a range of complex needs. We believe in fostering a positive and supportive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered.
Basic Salary: £28,000 - £39,520 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Scunthorpe
Start Date: Projected Opening Date April 2027

Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the National Curriculum while meeting the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
- Report on pupils' progress and concerns, liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging interaction and positive learning outcomes.
Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have a strong educational background to degree level.
- Have previous successful teaching experience.
- Have previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an educational setting.
- Have experience of using effective behaviour management techniques.
- Be committed to professional development and willing to learn.
