We're looking for a talented and creative writer to join the Polaris Community marketing team. You'll create high-quality, original and SEO-optimised content that supports our brands, strengthens our online presence and helps us connect with the audiences we serve. This is a varied, hands-on role covering website content, blogs, PR copy, case studies and campaigns.
The Role
As our Content Writer, you'll produce engaging content across a wide range of formats and channels. Working closely with our SEO colleagues, marketing managers, designers and subject matter experts, you'll research and develop content that meets audience needs while supporting our organic search strategy. You'll also help bring the stories behind our organisation to life, turning interviews, case studies and complex subject matter into accessible and compelling content for marketing, PR and wider campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, original content for websites, blogs, landing pages, campaigns, social media and other marketing channels
- Produce SEO-optimised content informed by keyword research, search intent and SEO good practice
- Review and improve existing website content to maintain accuracy, relevance and search performance
- Research industry topics and audience trends to develop authoritative and engaging content
- Write case studies, articles, press releases and other PR and media-facing content
- Work with colleagues and subject matter experts to develop stories and content ideas
- Adapt your writing style for different audiences, brands and tones of voice
- Upload, edit and maintain content within Content Management System (CMS) platforms
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to support integrated campaigns and identify new content opportunities
- Monitor content performance and developments in SEO and the wider industry to continually improve our approach
About You
- We're looking for someone who combines strong writing skills with curiosity, creativity and a clear understanding of how content supports wider marketing objectives.
- Proven experience in content writing, copywriting or an SEO-focused content role
- Strong written English, editing and proofreading skills
- A strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research and content optimisation
- Experience creating engaging content across different platforms and formats
- The ability to research unfamiliar or complex topics and turn them into clear, compelling content
- Confidence adapting content for different audiences, industries and brand requirements
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a wider team
- A proactive, resourceful and positive approach to your work
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- You should also be comfortable using generative AI tools responsibly as part of the content creation process.
We value original thinking, strong editorial judgement and human-led content, with AI used as a supporting tool rather than a substitute for quality writing.
Desirable
- Experience using CMS platforms such as WordPress
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console or Semrush
- Experience creating PR content, case studies or thought leadership articles
- Experience working within an agency or other fast-paced marketing environment
- A portfolio of published content
