We provide software solutions that empower police forces and local authorities to enforce and track traffic and parking offences, manage permits and licenses, and control high-risk assets like firearms and tasers. Our goal is to build a data-driven, professionally managed organisation with robust systems and processes, poised for consistent growth and ready to seize new opportunities.

In this role, you will be contributing towards technology that helps our customers make the world safer and fairer. Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the business to dig into data, uncover actionable insights, quantify opportunities, and drive revenue or efficiency gains through analytics, storytelling, and data leverage.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities where data can uncover insights, such as customer behaviour patterns, operational inefficiencies, or market trends.
  • Performing advanced data exploration, statistical analysis, and visualisation to derive meaningful insights that inform business strategies and drive measurable value.
  • Designing and implementing data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools to enable self-service access to insights across the organisation.
  • Conducting A/B testing, cohort analysis, and hypothesis-driven investigations to quantify the business impact of data-driven recommendations.
  • Developing frameworks for data governance, quality assurance, and ethical data usage to ensure insights are reliable and compliant.
  • Mentoring cross-functional teams on data literacy and best practices for leveraging data in decision-making processes.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends in data analytics and advocating for innovative ways to monetise or optimise our data assets.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Power BI) for querying, manipulating, and visualising large datasets.
  • Strong background in statistics, hypothesis testing, and exploratory data analysis techniques.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable business recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data science or analytics roles, with a focus on business impact rather than model deployment.
  • Track record of delivering insights that have directly influenced business outcomes, such as revenue growth or cost savings, in data-rich environments.
  • Experience in agile, collaborative settings at tech companies, consulting firms, or industries like e-commerce, finance, or healthcare.
  • Prior work on large-scale data projects supporting cross-functional teams and executive-level decision-making.
  • Background in handling unstructured data and deriving value from diverse sources like logs, customer interactions, or IoT streams.

Benefits include market rate salary, 25 days annual leave, life assurance 4 x base salary, private pension with Scottish Widows, health care cash plan, and a hybrid working model.
