Salary: £25,444.04 plus on call payments

Contract: Full Time, permanent

Specific Hours: 39 hours per week

Location: Pontefract and surrounding Dove homes

We are currently looking for a maintenance operative to join the team, and the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, or fixing a variety of items in and outside of our homes throughout South and West Yorkshire. You will be supported by the company Property Maintenance Manager.

Main duties:

  • Fixing doors and fitting skirting boards
  • Snagging
  • Tiling
  • Undertaking small plumbing repairs
  • Undertaking small electrical repairs
  • Replacing double glazing units
  • Proactive and reactive maintenance duties
  • Providing rota on call maintenance cover
  • Liaising with home managers undertaking work to ensure timely completion

Company van and mobile will be provided.

Skills required:

  • Must hold a full driving licence
  • Knowledge/understanding of Health and Safety
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Be willing to travel throughout South/West Yorkshire to our properties
  • General fixes including changing locks, flat pack assembly, and some garden works
