Salary: £45,000 – £48,500 Per Annum Dependant on Experience

Fostering Assessment Manager – Social Work Qualified
An exciting opportunity is available to work for the Polaris Community, with our network of seven fostering agencies as an Assessment Manager to provide support, robust leadership and management to the Foster Parent assessment process. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your management skills within fostering and to become part of a highly supportive environment where the focus is on delivering high quality foster parents for the country\’s most vulnerable children.
As an experienced worker who is familiar with social work assessments and Form F assessment reports, you will have excellent organisational skills, an ability to meet deadlines, and demonstrate effective communication to get results.
This role is primarily homebased working across the fostering agencies within the Polaris community as part of a wider team meeting the recruitment needs of the Polaris community.
Essential Skills & Experience
You must:
- Hold a professionally recognised qualification in Social Work
- Must have a minimum four years\’ experience as a qualified social worker in a children and family setting
- To be able to evidence an understanding and practical application of the use of IT and electronic communications, including the use of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrable experience of Foster Parent Recruitment/Assessment
- A good knowledge of the Foster Parent Recruitment process from generating enquiries to approval (to include the assessment and panel process)
- Must possess a full driving licence
