We design, manufacture, and install food production machinery and provide full engineering, machining, and site services to the food manufacturing industry.
We’re seeking an experienced Capital Plant Sales Engineer to drive sales growth in food production machinery, engineering, and site services. You’ll manage the full sales process — from lead generation and quotation through to project handover — working closely with our technical design and project teams to deliver tailored engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new and existing client relationships to identify and convert sales opportunities.
- Prepare accurate costings, technical proposals, and quotations.
- Work with the design team to develop effective engineering solutions.
- Manage projects from enquiry through handover to project management.
- Support smaller projects directly alongside the project and departmental teams.
- Maintain key client relationships and act as the main commercial contact throughout.
- Proven experience in capital equipment, machinery, or engineering sales.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical or process systems (food industry experience preferred).
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Commercially astute with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) and experience in a project-led environment.
