The successful candidate will be a reflective practitioner who is able to maximise the potential of all our pupils. We use Rosenshine's Principles to underpin our teaching and learning, plan jointly and have a clear and centralised behaviour policy. We are an outward looking school and are keen to develop all our staff.
You will use teaching and assessment effectively to ensure that all pupils know and remember key knowledge and skills. We are also looking for a colleague who can make a contribution to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular clubs, trips and visits and supports our ethos of developing the whole child.
We seek a full time Teacher of History who is enthusiastic and passionate about their subject. We are looking for a subject specialist with the ability to teach History to GCSE. The ability to teach other Humanities subjects at KS3 would be an advantage.
Polam Hall School is a 4 - 16 all-through academy and is part of Woodard Academies Trust. We have 850 pupils on roll, with one and a half forms of entry in our Primary Phase and four forms in our Secondary Phase.
