Summary: The Licensing Team is responsible for creating and executing a range of activities, including (but not limited to) Product Licensing, Retail/Trade Marketing for Licensed Products, and Brand Partnership Promotions to increase the visibility of the Pokémon brand across the globe.

Within this team, this role will be responsible for developing Pokémon licensed products to ensure a strong presence at retail across several markets – working alongside the Consumer Product Approval (CPA) and Retail Marketing Team.

In conjunction with growing and managing the Pokémon licensing program in the region, the role will also be responsible for initiating relevant retail marketing programs and brand partnerships that support the full range of Pokémon products.

  • What you’ll do
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing licensees for all categories.
  • Manage contract negotiation with existing and new licensees.
  • Engage effectively with the CPA team on product development, including range planning, brainstorms and development to create relevant products for Buyers and End-consumers in the territory.
  • Lead conception of additional creative assets (e. g., mock-ups) with external agencies
  • Establish strong working relationships with the London (e. g., Legal, Retail Marketing, etc.) and Seattle-based teams (CPA, Licensing, Royalty, etc.) to ensure smooth implementation of the Licensing program.
  • Develop strategic recommendations and implement licensing plans in the region to hit revenue targets.
  • Support Management with the creation of annual budget and assistance with financial planning.
  • Research products, brands, and companies for new business opportunities and preparation of strategic plans.

Assist with development of marketing materials, promotional events, and licensing presentations that support TPCi's strategic direction and goals.

  • Be the key point of contact to Retail partners.
  • Develop and execute trade marketing programs to promote Licensed Products in the region.

  • Identify potential key partners to secure relevant promotions in the territory.
  • Oversee the account management and ensure allocated campaigns are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
  • What you’ll bring
  • Three (3) to four (4) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Latin American Spanish, at near-native level.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact well with a variety of work groups.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent negotiation, deal structuring and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience with revenue/profit modeling and sound business judgment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
