The Role Senior Product Designers are the architects of our mobile user journeys, turning complex requirements into seamless, intuitive, and engaging digital experiences. They are collaborative problem-solvers with a keen eye for detail, strong mobile expertise, and a deep sense of user empathy. At Pointr, we empower Product Designers to own the end-to-end design of our mobile app features, creating high-fidelity experiences that impact millions of users across the globe. To that end, they are comfortable operating in a flat, fast-paced organization and are energized by evolving our mobile design system while collaborating closely with PMs and engineering teams to bridge the gap between design and development. At its core, this role requires the Senior Product Designer to combine structured thinking with creative execution, taking complete ownership of the mobile product experience across both iOS and Android platforms from discovery to final QA.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end UX/UI design of mobile app features, from discovery to final implementation.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Work closely with PMs and engineers to translate product requirements into clear mobile experiences.
  • Maintain and improve the mobile design system.
  • Prepare developer-ready specs, review builds, QA implemented designs, and ensure consistency across iOS and Android.
  • Use user feedback, analytics, and usability testing to improve key app journeys.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in UX/UI or Product Design, with a strong focus on mobile app experiences across both iOS and Android.
  • Portfolio: A robust portfolio demonstrating successfully shipped mobile products, active contribution to design systems, high-fidelity prototyping, and close collaboration with engineering.
  • Technical & Design Skills: Advanced proficiency in Figma, user flows, wireframing, high-fidelity UI design, and comprehensive developer handoff processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Experience in maintaining design systems, preparing developer-ready specs, reviewing builds, and conducting QA on implemented designs.
  • Core Competencies: Deep user empathy, structured thinking, strong attention to detail, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to thrive within ambiguity.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of working effectively alongside product managers and engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience designing for maps, navigation, wayfinding, or location-based services.
  • App Types: Background in building complex B2B or enterprise-grade mobile applications.
  • Advanced Design Systems: Practical experience working with design tokens and advanced token structures.
  • Research & Testing: Experience conducting user research, usability testing, data analytics utilization, and accessibility testing (A11y).
