Role

The Cubist Execution Services (QBEX) group is seeking a new team member to support multi-asset electronic trading and systematic portfolio workflows.

This role is ideal for someone with early experience in trading operations or electronic execution who is eager to learn, grow technically, and contribute to a small, globally distributed team.

Curiosity, communication, and cultural fit are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support multi-asset trade execution and electronic order flow monitoring.
  • Assist with systematic portfolio construction, execution workflows, and connectivity checks.
  • Perform daily system checks, validate portfolio data, and help manage corporate actions.
  • Troubleshoot trading and portfolio system issues, escalating when needed.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, technology teams, and brokers across US/EU regions.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in trading operations, electronic execution, or a similar market-facing role.
  • Basic understanding of the order lifecycle and interest in deepening execution knowledge.
  • Experience with Python or another programming language.
  • Familiarity with SQL and comfort working with data.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across time zones.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience working on small, collaborative teams.
  • Exposure to market microstructure or execution algorithms preferred.
  • Experience with Linux preferred.
  • Some experience or exposure to Fixed Income, Options, TBA, CDX, or Inflation/Rates trading preferred.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

The annual base salary range for this role is $100,000-$160,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package.

Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
