What you’ll doYou will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the design, engineering, implementation, and third-level support of our network systems. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and build strong relationships with technical experts. Specifically, you will:
- Design and architect low-latency trading networks using cutting-edge technology.
- Support existing solutions with a focus on automating and documenting tasks for handoff to the Network Operations team.
- Manage, communicate, and implement infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations on network infrastructure, including L1/L2/L3 switches, firewalls, DNS/DHCP, and cloud networking components.
- Build strong relationships with a highly technical client base, including operations, low-latency developers, and systematic trading experts.
- Automate processes to reduce manual work required by support teams using enterprise and open-source tools.
- Test and analyze vendor products for selective use in production systems.
- Serve as the escalation point for support teams on priority issues.
- Document and create Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform hands-on analysis of production systems, fault resolution, growth issues, and root cause analysis for critical issues.
- Work with Technology and market data vendors to get solutions working for clients.
- Setup and customize our instrumentation and tooling to generate meaningful alerts and gather metadata on network behavior over time.
- 8-10 years of experience with 3-5 experience in low latency networking
- Deep understanding of network systems/architectures at a detailed level with knowledge of fundamental configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
- Excellent knowledge of low-latency network products.
- Experience with networking vendors such as Arista, Cisco, Palo Alto, etc. and DHCP/DNS products like Infoblox.
- Exposure to cloud networking configurations and tools - AWS, Azure, GCP.
- An understanding of Market Data and/or third-party feed handlers.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
