Why we're recruiting
Point2Point IT is growing and developing new managed IT, cybersecurity, communications and compliance services.
We need someone who becomes the organisational link between customers, prospects and the technical team.
This is not simply an office administration role.
A major part of the job is making sure customer enquiries, quotations, opportunities and follow-ups do not get forgotten, and that every customer receives a professional, welcoming and consistent experience from first enquiry through to becoming a customer and beyond.
You do not need to be an IT expert — the technical team handles the technical detail.
We need somebody organised, confident communicating with customers, comfortable using technology and able to make sure things actually get done.
- What you'll be responsible for
- Sales & opportunity follow-up
- Respond to and track new enquiries.
- Make sure every sales opportunity has a clear next action and follow-up date.
- Follow up quotations and proposals.
- Arrange meetings and demonstrations.
- Keep prospects informed while technical proposals are being prepared.
- Chase outstanding information and decisions.
- Maintain accurate opportunity information in the CRM.
- Make sure promising opportunities do not disappear because nobody followed them up.
- Existing customer growth
- Help organise regular customer reviews.
- Identify customers who may benefit from additional Point2Point services.
- Coordinate follow-up actions arising from customer meetings.
- Help introduce new services such as cybersecurity, compliance, communications and AI services.
- Help establish a structured customer referral and recommendation process.
- Customer onboarding
- Help create a smooth prospect → proposal → agreement → new customer journey.
- Make sure required information and documentation has been collected.
- Coordinate actions between the customer and technical team.
- Keep the customer informed during onboarding.
- Ensure outstanding onboarding actions are followed through.
- Marketing & communication
- Help maintain website and service information.
- Assist with email and customer campaigns.
- Create and schedule social-media content.
- Help turn new Point2Point services into clear customer communications.
- Use AI tools appropriately to help create content, communications and follow-up material.
- Business administration
- Keep CRM and customer records accurate and current.
- Assist with Xero and general accounts administration.
- Send customer statements and follow up overdue accounts where required.
- Maintain documents and customer information.
- Help keep internal processes organised.
- What success looks like
- Every new enquiry has an owner.
- Every sales opportunity has a next action.
- Every quotation gets followed up.
- Every customer meeting produces tracked actions.
- Customer reviews get booked.
- CRM information is current.
- New customers receive consistent onboarding.
- Customers hear about relevant additional services.
- Referral opportunities are actively requested.
- Nothing commercially important is left forgotten in someone's notebook, inbox or head.
- The person we're looking for
We care far more about how you work than whether you have worked in IT before.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
- Persistent without being pushy.
- Comfortable speaking to customers by phone, video and in person.
- Strong written communication.
- Confident using business software, and willing to learn new systems.
- Comfortable working with AI tools as part of everyday work.
If somebody tells you, \"I'll come back to you next Tuesday,\" you're the sort of person who puts it in the system and makes sure we follow up on Tuesday.
How this role fits in
This is not a technical sales role.
Complex technical and commercial discussions are handled by the business owner and the technical team.
You own the organisation, customer communication, follow-up, CRM discipline, customer journey and marketing coordination that makes all of it work.
