We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a high-performing finance team on a temporary basis, with the role potentially lasting up to six months. This Management Accountant position will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance insight to support informed decision-making within a complex and regulated environment. Based in Huntingdon, the Management Accountant role offers hybrid working, with approximately two days per week in the office.

As a Management Accountant, you will act as a trusted finance partner to budget holders, delivering high-quality management accounting, financial analysis, and commercial support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Producing accurate financial budgets, forecasts, and actuals for a designated business area
  • Acting as the single point of contact for assigned budget holders, providing financial data and insight
  • Delivering the management accounting and business planning processes for both OPEX and CAPEX
  • Ensuring compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Driving continuous improvement and standardisation across budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Challenging assumptions within bottom-up forecasts to ensure appropriate balance of risk and opportunity
  • Supporting key financial milestones, timescales, and reporting deadlines
  • Collaborating with Finance Managers, Financial Controllers, and wider finance teams
Skills / Experience
  • Qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience working as a Management Accountant or in a similar role
  • Strong experience producing budgets, forecasts, and management accounts
  • Confident managing and influencing stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge of financial controls and compliance frameworks
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Experience using financial reporting and analysis tools such as SAP, Power BI, or similar
Salary & Working Hours
  • Hourly Rate: Β£28.60 per hour
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
  • Location: Huntingdon
  • Working Arrangement: Hybrid - approximately 2 days per week in the office
  • Contract: Temporary, potentially up to 6 months
