We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing business in a permanent, full-time position. This role is ideal for a skilled TIG Welder with a strong background in stainless steel sheet metal fabrication who takes pride in producing high‑quality, precision work. Based on‑site, this permanent TIG Welder position offers long‑term stability, excellent earning potential, and the opportunity to work as part of a close‑knit and supportive production team. The business operates within a specialist manufacturing environment, delivering high‑quality fabricated components and continuing to invest in both people and equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out high‑quality TIG welding on stainless steel sheet metal components
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal products in line with engineering drawings
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly deadlines
- Identify, report, and support the resolution of production or quality issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Adhere to all company health & safety and quality procedures
Skills / Experience
- Proven experience working as a TIG Welder within a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Strong TIG welding experience on stainless steel (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Competent using fabrication machinery and hand tools
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable
- Experience with MIG welding
- Experience working with aluminium or mild steel
- Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification
Salary & Working Hours
- Salary: £44,460 per annum
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Friday: Early finish
- Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent, Full‑time
