£29,300, plus performance-related bonus. Our client has grown into a market-leading brand management and distribution business. They are now recruiting a Warehouse Forklift Operative permanently to join the team and help fulfil the company’s promises to its customers.

The Warehouse Forklift Operative will support the Warehouse team in maintaining the smooth running of operations and ensuring customer demands are met efficiently and effectively. The role involves lifting significant quantities of stock, standing or walking for most of the shift, along with using a forklift (counterbalance) Flexi which can be trained.

Duties for the Warehouse Forklift Operative:

  • Moving merchandise from one place to another using Counterbalance or Flexi Truck
  • Unloading and loading vehicles
  • Compliance with relevant Health and Safety standards
  • Picking and packing goods to a high level of accuracy whilst maintaining our high standards
  • Performing accurate goods in checks and put away
  • Labelling packaging, products, unpacking and also repacking goods, without damage
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by performing general housekeeping where necessary

Skills required for the Warehouse Forklift Operative:

  • Previous warehouse experience is essential
  • Counterbalance or Flexi Truck licence
  • Good time keeping and organisational skills
  • A capable mindset, being able to carry out high-intensity teamwork
  • Accurate counting abilities and a clear capability of checking different dates and lines on incoming and outgoing products
  • The ability to follow clear instructions
  • A motivated and hard-working attitude
  • The ability to work in a warehouse environment, either on your own or as part of a larger team

Hours of work for the Warehouse Forklift Operative:

Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm (One week of each)
