Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead projects from initial stages right through to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity to take hold of the whole design process and ownership.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be:

  • Leading design and development of mechanical systems and components.
  • Taking designs from requirements capture through to production.
  • Producing clear, accurate CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Conducting mechanical analysis (structural, tolerance, etc.) and selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Building and testing prototypes.

Skills and experience required for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
  • Strong experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
  • Confident using SolidWorks CAD to produce production-ready designs.
  • Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in plain terms.
