We're recruiting a Sales Operations Manager on behalf of a global leader in critical communications technology, based in Cambridge. This is a permanent, full-time, office-based position and a senior opportunity for a commercially minded, analytically strong professional looking to play a pivotal role in enabling a high-performing international sales organisation. This is a strategic and operational role in equal measure. You'll act as an independent business partner to sales leadership — providing the data, processes, tools, governance and insight the sales team needs to hit revenue targets and deliver sustainable growth. From owning the CRM and forecasting process through to designing dashboards, improving workflows and supporting senior stakeholders with pipeline reviews and business planning, this is a role with real breadth and genuine influence. If you combine operational rigour with strategic curiosity and a data-led approach to decision making, this is worth a serious look. Main Responsibilities: * Supporting the development and execution of annual sales plans, territory planning, account segmentation and resource allocation * Developing and maintaining sales KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting frameworks * Tracking performance against revenue, pipeline, conversion and activity targets and providing actionable recommendations * Leading the sales forecasting process, monitoring pipeline health and implementing best practices for opportunity management * Supporting Regional MDs with pipeline reviews, business planning and forecast challenge sessions * Acting as primary owner of the CRM system — accountable for data integrity, governance, hygiene and user adoption * Designing, documenting and continuously improving sales processes and workflows * Identifying inefficiencies and implementing automation where appropriate * Collaborating with Marketing, Finance, Customer Support and Product teams to support cross-functional initiatives * Supporting onboarding and training of new sales team members * Analysing customer, market and sales data to identify trends and opportunities * Developing BI dashboards and presenting data-led insights to senior stakeholders * Supporting incentive compensation administration and sales performance programmes Skills/Experience: * Proven experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Commercial Operations or Sales Analysis — essential * Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management and forecasting * Experience managing CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or HubSpot — essential * Advanced Excel and data modelling skills — essential * Experience creating dashboards and performance reporting tools * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — confident presenting to senior leadership * Strong project management and organisational skills with a continuous improvement mindset * Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools — desirable * Knowledge of sales compensation and incentive programmes — desirable * Qualification in Business, Finance, Analytics or a related discipline — desirable * Sales Operations or CRM certifications — desirable Salary & Working Hours: Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.
