We are currently recruiting a Business Development Representative to join a well-established and growing organisation within the industrial coatings sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Representative who has a strong professional or sales understanding of industrial coatings and enjoys developing long-term commercial relationships.
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities while managing and growing existing accounts. The successful Business Development Representative will be confident operating in a technical, industrial environment and able to communicate effectively with distributors, contractors, and end users across the industrial coatings market. This position is home-based and field-focused, requiring regular travel within your region. You will represent a respected brand within the industrial coatings industry, working closely with internal teams while taking ownership of your sales performance and territory growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate as a Business Development Representative within the industrial coatings sector, promoting and selling products to new and existing customers
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across industrial coatings markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, clients, and industry stakeholders
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and technical discussions through to negotiation and deal closure
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM systems
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events relevant to industrial coatings
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Development Representative, or in a similar sales-focused role
- Professional or sales experience within the industrial coatings sector is essential
- Strong understanding of industrial coatings products, applications, and market requirements
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based, home-based role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Salary & Working Hours:
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday
