Purpose
To maintain our client's customer's compliance and certification requirements. To manage the internal Quality Management System (QMS) & HSE System. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure compliance with agreed standards and legislation. Ensure legislative changes and external regulatory requirements are identified, proposed, and effectively implemented within company policies and procedures.
Main duties
- Compliance Management
- Coordinate and manage compliance-related projects, including HSE, Quality & Supplier Assurance, data protection, and accreditations.
- Ensure processes and procedures comply with relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
- Work with Engineering and Procurement to ensure material content meets legal and customer requirements.
- Review, document, and maintain business continuity planning.
- Audit and Assurance
- Perform internal company audits to ensure adherence to compliance, quality, and safety standards.
- Support external audits and accreditation processes, ensuring all documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
- Quality Management
- Ensure partner and customer deliverables are of acceptable quality and meet all required standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) policies, processes, standards, and systems.
- Monitor, investigate, and analyse quality issues and determine their impact on the business.
- Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, processes, standards, and systems.
- Conduct health and safety audits and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Monitor hazardous substances (COSHH) and oversee production waste and disposal methods to ensure legal compliance and environmental responsibility.
Skills / Knowledge required
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- Experience using QA software tools and processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Knowledge of test processes for sophisticated electrical equipment.
- Ability to work well with all disciplines particularly production and engineering.
- Ability to engage and influence others to deliver.
- A successful quality engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
