We are recruiting an Electronics Fault Finding Engineer on behalf of a well-established and innovative technology business based in the Cambridge area. This is a key role within a busy repairs team, responsible for undertaking repairs of customer returns and providing advanced diagnostic capability to support the resolution of complex and novel faults. You will bring a strong background in electronics fault finding and repair, ideally gained within a repair or service centre environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting time, where your technical expertise will have real impact across the team and beyond.
Please note that due to the nature of the work undertaken by this team, candidates must be willing to undergo UK SC security clearance. The business will support the successful candidate through this process.
Main responsibilities:- Undertake repairs of customer equipment, including advanced fault finding at component and system level using schematics, test equipment, and analytical techniques.
- Diagnose complex, intermittent, and non-standard faults not resolvable through standard repair processes.
- Validate repairs through appropriate test and verification methodologies.
- Investigate and document novel faults and solutions.
