Responsibilities:

  • Leading design and development of mechanical systems and components.
  • Take designs from requirements capture through to production.
  • Produce clear, accurate CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Mechanical analysis (structural, tolerance, etc.) selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Building and testing of prototypes.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
  • Strong experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
  • Confident using SolidWorks CAD to produce production-ready designs.
  • Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in plain terms.
